It is a nonprofit association that is working in more than 35 nations to improve the living qualities of the children and their families. On January 7, 1932 in New York City, celebrate the Children was created to respond to the needs of the children of coal miners in Appalachia. They also helped children that were upstage from their houses during World War II. Save the Children provided them with clothes, milk, food, and helped rebuild communities in 8 European countries.
